Public Relations Assistant

Availability: Must be available at least 1-2 days per week from 10am to 5pm to do assignments from company. Some days you may work from home and others you may meet with the public relations director.

 Journalist/Media Correspondent

Responsibilities: To write 2 full-length (4-5 paragraph) articles per week for on topics such as independent music, entertainment, small businesses, fashion, beauty, and community. And, do at least 3 on-camera event coverage of the duration of the internship.

Availability: Deadline for articles to be emailed to editor is due every Friday by 11:59pm which can be done from home. However, must be available to cover at least 3 events, which will be chosen based on your availability.


Responsibilities: To video record at least 3 event coverage and have them edited for website no later than one week from each event. And, once a week to attend meetings, projects, events, etc with company to capture behind-the-scenes footage to then turn into two separate 3-5 minute reels for intern to use for their portfolio and for company to use for promotional use.

Availability: Must be available once a week which days can vary each week for 6-8 hours.   

Requirements: Must be majoring in public relations, marketing, journalism, and/or broadcast journalism.

 Christopher Morley Tennis (“CMT”) paid internship

CMT is an $11M, 10-indoor court tennis club located in Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn, NY.  CMT organizes tennis lesson, league, and court time programs for players of all ages and levels on a year-round basis.  In addition, CMT runs CMT/Sportspro Summer Camp, an all-sports summer camp in Christopher Morley Park utilizing 100 acres of park facilities including tennis, golf, swimming, baseball, basketball, volleyball, hiking trails, playground, and more.  CMT also runs tennis programs on 17 indoor tennis courts at the legendary Port Washington Tennis Academy (“PWTA”) in Port Washington, NY.

CMT seeks a college junior, senior, or graduate intern to manage, expand, and/or launch a variety of social media platforms for its three businesses.  This intern should be majoring in coursework related to social media and seeking a career in that field.   CMT is currently in the process of relaunching the CMT and PWTA websites and has existing Facebook pages.  CMT hopes to launch Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other appropriate digital platforms.
